Enjoy a guided excursion to some of the top attractions of occupied Cyprus from Ayia Napa, Protaras or Larnaca area; Famagusta town and Salamis Archaeological Site.

Settle into your air-conditioned coach and enjoy the scenery as you head to Strovilia check point where you will cross the UN Buffer Zone. UN Buffer Zone also called “Green Line” extends approximately 180 kilometres across the island and separates the two sides since 1974. For decades, it was impossible to cross the UN Buffer Zone and visit the northern occupied Cyprus.

The first stop of this day trip is Salamis Archaeological Site, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from Cyprus east coast. Salamis was the most brilliant ancient cities in Cyprus and the capital of the island for more than thousand years. The archaeological site of Salamis, culture and history is considered as one of the most important not just in Cyprus but also in the Mediterranean Sea. Discover the archaeological site of Salamis as your guide shares with you the rise and fall of this Great Greek Kingdom.

Our second stop will be Famagusta that used to be a bustling tourist destination with amazing white sand beaches. Discover Othello’s Tower that may have inspired parts of Shakespeare’s play. Explore St Nicholas Cathedral, one of the most important monuments in Famagusta.
Enjoy your free time and lunch in the old town of Famagusta.

Before heading back to your hotels, take in panoramic views of the Ghost Town of Famagusta, once a thriving resort where rich and famous like Richard Burton and Brigitte Bardot dropped by to relax in one of Cyprus best beaches!
